Our Story

Four years ago, we started as a single assistive technology specialist and educational consultant working out of her home office- traveling to schools, workplaces, and homes. We have grown to a team of AT specialists and still travel to schools, workplaces, and homes. But now, we also have a home office- where we can complete AT assessments and provide a place for individuals to explore AT tools right here in Stevens Point. We are also excited to host trainings, professional development events, and community activities in our new space.

FAQs

What if I can’t make it to the open house?

1

If you can’t make it to the open house, but want to learn more about what we do or visit our space, contact miranda@innov-at.com to set up a time to talk to one of our AT specialists or schedule a tour!

What are your “open” hours?

2

Due to our staff frequently being out in the community providing AT services, we will not have ‘regular’ open hours. Our office will be open by appointment only or during scheduled events.

Are you a store? Do you sell assistive technology?

3

We are not a store. We do not sell assistive technology or represent any assistive technology vendors. We work with a wide variety of vendors and brands of assistive technology to provide you with the most comprehensive assessment possible. We are always able to provide recommendations and help you locate where you can purchase the tools we discuss. However, we do not sell anything directly.

Will you be completing assessments at the Open House?

4

Each one of our assistive technology assessments are unique to the client we are working with and requires our full attention. This means we will not be completing assessments during this open house. This is an opportunity for you to learn about some assistive technology tools and learn about our services. However, we would be happy to discuss the process with you.

Is this for kids or adults?

4

Both! We work with both children and adults and are happy to share resources for both during our Open House! However, one note: there will be a lot of people coming in and out, and a busy road nearby. We will also have many assistive technology tools available to explore. If you bring your children, please plan to stay with them and monitor their exploration of the resources available.
